Exciting developments are making the new Skunk Hollow Community Farm a reality. The plot, adjacent to the Willows park, received a new well on March 5, thanks to the support of Powell Pump and Well Drilling. In addition, a new fence is being installed around the plot, which will keep out deer and other pests.
The Willows Cottage will serve as a pickup point for the produce grown on the farm.
You can view more photos of the drilling process, the fencing install, and more on our flickr page.

On Saturday February 7, more than 30 volunteers came together to start the process of cleaning out the cottage at the Willows. They demolished walls, scraped paint chips and disposed of debris in the structure.
Both Nolan Painting and Do It Best hardware store donated materials.
Volunteers came from all over the community, including the Boy Scouts and Radnor High School.
The Friends of the Willows Cottage is holding more clean-up events from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., rain or shine, at the Willows, 490 Darby-Paoli Road, Villanova, on Feb. 28, March 14 and March 21.
Additional future dates will be added on this web site.
Everyone is welcome to lend a hand bringing this important building back to life!
A Greener Partners Event ~ In our garden-based camps for older children (ages 8 to 11), we strive to develop a lasting connection to the natural world and awaken a sense of stewardship for the earth. We celebrate life in the garden and in our natural landscapes and take a closer look at the systems and cycles that contribute to the health of the food we grow. Nature crafts, science-based projects, yoga, games, stories, and snack preparation are an important part of each fun-filled day.
